How to make a super simple chicken rice?

Dalam bulan puasa ni, today is the 3rd time i buat nasi ayam.

The first one i cook without anybody request, i saja nak try buat guna resepi SHM yg dia modified dari resepi diana, which i modified lagi sebab i don't have whole chicken. Ayam dah kerat 18!

The outcome DISASTROUS! Well the nasi, sup, sos and kicap semua ok but the chicken nothing like you ever saw before. It's black! like the very the hangus, walaupun tak hangus sebenarnya. I goreng ayam yg dah marinated tu cos i don't trust my RM99-cheap-oven to do the job. No picture taken okay..tak sanggup!

However, nasi ayam tu tetap habis la kan dah itu je yg ada, belasah la kan.

Then, ( i lupa bila) Darwish request me to cook nasi ayam again. This time, I went to Pasar Tani at BK5, and bought a half chicken. Only half because I don't think we can finished a whole chicken at one go.

This time around, it look more like nasi ayam madu but still not that good, i mean the chicken still a bit blackie...sigh! Takpe2 semua yg di masak tetap habis di makan...tiada pembuangan di situ. (PROOF that the recipe followed is very nice indeed ;) )

Lepas tu semalam, Darwish request it again. Sigh! Camno nak bg ayam tu cun???

So today, I went to Giant BK5, dengan harapan dapat beli ayam sekor yg saiz S....kat pasar tani ayam semua saiz L ngan XL, takleh nak masuk oven canggih i tu.

While choosing the right size chicken, suddenly ............ TING!!!

I've got a wayyyyy much much better idea......

Why not i just buy the whole-ready-made- grilled-chicken ????

So that's what i did! I beli sekor ayam perisa black pepper yg besar sikit dari burung puyuh. Lepas dah siap nasi, sup ayam, sos, kicap as per resepi SHM tu, i pun ambik ayam tadi dan kerat2. Panaskan oven, masukkan ayam sekejap, hidangkan panas2 masa berbuka.

Tapi takde lah nasi ayam madu.....jadi nasi ayam black pepper instead...apa apalah kan, janji tetap mudah dah lazat =P.

Lawa la kan....takdelah hitam hangus mcm yg sebelum ni tsk!tsk!

PS: kalau i kerja lagi, i mesti malas nak cuba masak2 ni....tapi dah duk rumah selalu ni, utk hilangkan bosan, syok pulak layan dapur =P heheh!

    selalu jd silent reader je, so hari ni nk bg tips utk buat ayam yg sedap.. perap ayam dgn kicap manis sket, kicap masin sket, bubuh la sos tiram sket pastu kalau rase nk manis madu buh la madu.. kalau xmo pkai la gula perang or any gula pun xpe.. bubuh lada sulah n lada hitam.. perap kejap pastu bakar atau goreng.. healthy version bakar je la kan.. hehe.. senang pun senang...
